Fred's Weddings

May 2nd was beautiful day for Christa and Greg Silva's wedding at the Nonantum Resort in Kennebunkport. It certainly was a day with many different styles of music. Music for the ceremony was performed by a jazz duo, something that I have never seen before. It worked out extremely well. Although I didn't get their names, they are at Jonathans in Ogunquit every Saturday night. They used the whole property for their celebration. The 'on site' ceremony was by the lighthouse with cocktail hour over by the gazebo with Creole music flowing through the air.
Next it was on to dinner and dancing. We lit up the dance floor with our new gobo projector light featuring a great bride and groom logo designed by Christa and Greg. The picture above shows what it looked like.
The day ended with an after party at Federal Jacks where many of the guests continued the celebration until 1:00 AM.

May 3d I did a wedding for Jonathan and Diane Melsness in the ballroom at the York Harbor Inn. It was quite a gathering with guests coming from many different states. Colorado, Oregon, Georgia, Massachusetts, Vermont, Maine, Texas, Pennsylvania and North Carolina. Jon and Diane chose a few songs but for the most part left the music choices up to me and guest requests. Music from every genre was requested as you can imagine. Their party continued in the Cellar Pub at the York Harbor Inn until midnight.

May 9 Brought me to Three Chimneys in Durham, N.H. For Taylor Connor and Hyun Ju Kim. An interesting wedding with a Korean flavor. Hyun Ju's mom made the dresses for Hyun Ju and her bridesmaids. Three Chimneys is known for their ability to create specialty cuisine for their wedding guests. They offer a beautiful gazebo area for ceremonies. Cocktail hour is on the patio and the main reception is in the ballroom next to the tavern. It was a colorful dance party till the end. All of the vendors were friends of the Bride and Groom.
